"Inclusion has improved my life in many aspects"

About: HMP Long Lartin / Mental Health Service HMP Long Lartin / Substance Misuse Service

(as a service user),

Upon arriving in prison, I could not cope with my depression and anxiety, I self harmed, isolated myself in my cell, I basically disconnected from reality and my surroundings. After seeing the inclusions team @ Long Lartin I got designated worker who helped me to begin working through my issues, within 6 months I had stopped self harming, got a job off the wing and associated with my peers. This allowed my jail experience to become much more bearable. Since working with Inclusions over the past 4 years I have pushed my boundaries, getting jobs where I help fellow inmates, work in groups and help others who self harm and suffer with depression and anxiety.

Inclusions help made my jail life much more liveable and improved my life in many aspects. I am very thankful for inclusions help and support.
