"Multiple ear infection"

About: Gilbert Bain Hospital / Accident & emergency Lerwick Health Centre

(as a parent/guardian),

Mid Sept been with my son at Lerwick GP because some white liquid discharge from one ear, been on antibiotic first week and after they changed the antibiotic, in Oct same white discharge and again antibiotic , November same story, December same issue more antibiotic. 3 months 4 antibiotics, I think it was cheaper to send us to the specialist after second time on antibiotic than just go constant to the GP and try different treatment like cream on top of the antibiotic.

An ear ,nose ,throat specialist been at the hospital couple of weeks ago, is coming here a week or so a couple of times per year and no one from Lerwick GP centre didn't bother to send us to the specialist.

In 3 months we been to the GP and A&E dep for 10 times or close. On Monday and today we manage to find good Dr and make a referral to the specialist. The previous 10 time his ear drum was visible and now is not visible because of the liquid in his ear.

I just want to go to the specialist and not let things go wrong like hearing loss, etc
