Over the last 30 years, following the death of both parents in a road traffic accident, I have used mental health services in Perth.
I have always been very well supported by all those involved in my care and treatment.
I found that recently that I had been isolating myself and not going out. I was aware of a service in Perth city called MoveAhead, I contacted them and since I have been working with Jamie, my outlook on life has become far more positive and I feel that I have a sense of purpose.
Jamie is very knowledgeable and is aware of the services available in the community. I have now accessed a new car through the Motability Scheme which I knew nothing about prior to my referral to MoveAhead. I have some work left to do but I know that with the support I am currently getting from MoveAhead, I know that I can achieve almost anything.
I cannot praise the NHS enough, they are the safety net that is always there. I will be forever grateful for every service I have had over the course of my life. It's not just about myself, it's the people who you have helped in the past and those that will need your support in the future.
