I was referred to woodlands resource mental health unit while suffering badly from anxiety and very low mood, insomnia and suicidal thoughts, I felt lost, alone and overwhelmed at first - then I was assigned to Bob's caseload and for the last few months have been under his care.
He explained all aspects of my care but, more importantly, he listened to me to, how I was feeling, and made me not feel as if I was losing my mind and that how I was feeling was totally normal. he arranged some support from Jayne and along with the help of Dr McCallum, the whole team have helped me immensely on my road to recovery, the help I needed was in place immediately and i cannot stress enough how good a job the team have done, If not for Bob's understanding and experience I dont know if I'd be here today to write this.
My care is ongoing but I really feel that now after months I can see a glimmer of light ahead thanks to the mental health team at woodlands resource centre, they are credit to Forth Valley, they probably don't get the recognition they deserve but I feel it's important to show people who might be in a similar situation to me that there is help, very good help there if you need it. I have been given the tools to aid my recovery, I know its a long road and I am by no means better but I have hope, and thats down to Bob, Jayne and Dr McCallum. Many thanks.
