"The service was very informative"

About: Whiteabbey Hospital / Cardiology

(as a service user),

I experienced a heart attack event and was referred to the Cardiac Rehabilitation Service at Whiteabbey Hospital, Newtownabbey.

I attended my first session and the service was very informative and gave me the space to ask questions on why, what and going forward had happened before during and after my heart attack.

The staff were experienced and very knowledgeable about the heart attack process. The sessions were delivered by the cardiac rehabilitation service and outside facilitators.

I  was disappointed when the trust did not accommodate other facilitators when 2 of the sessions facilitators did not show up, were unable to facilitate the planned sessions - pharmacy and stress management.

The Cardiac Rehabilitation team were amazing at their job and were able to support me understand and reduced the risks of further cardiac events on my Cardiac event journey.
