"The positive approach of all in the department was amazing"

I recently had an appointment for Radiological investigation in Out Patients Department MPH requested by Mr Sloan, my Orthopedic Consultant - his secretary, Mica, who has been in contact with me via letter and phone efficiently organized the appointment.

From arrival at reception the warmth of the staff's  greeting helped relax and reassure me immediately.

Hannah the radiographer introduced herself and took me to the designated room where she asked questions relating to the check list I had received, once answered she continued to reassure me until I was brought into the room for my procedure.

Another radiographer Hannah helped me to get into position again, reassuring me and listening as to my needs . Consent signed, Dr Campbell Consultant Radiologist who was performing my procedure was friendly and at the same time very professional in his introduction of himself and the next steps to my procedure, explaining at all times what when and why !! Raffie who was also in attendance helped me to get down from the x ray couch.

Everyone made sure I was not feeling unwell  and steady when standing and Dr Campbell before I left explained what would happen in relation to results to Mr Sloan and again reassured me in regards to if any side effects from the procedure also making sure I had a designated driver!

Hannah then accompanied me to the reception area to be met by my friend, who was also called Hannah! 

I wanted to share my experience with anyone who may be going forward for a similar procedure to reassure them that the positive approach of all in the department was amazing and I look forward to seeing the reception staff when I return for my review.
