"Over 2O months wait for DEXA scan"

In 2022 I fractured my right wrist which required surgical fixation. This procedure was carried out at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow with outpatient care delivered at the New Victoria Hospital Glasgow.
At that time I received a letter from NHS GGC advising that I would be referred for a bone scan for diagnosis of osteoporosis.
Some 20 + months later I have received no further communication. Given that I am in my late 60s, I am extremely concerned that I could have undiagnosed and untreated osteoporosis exposing me to further risk.

Well initially I was very encouraged by the response to my posting and as requested immediately emailed with the required detail. Since I did so Radio Silence!
No email, no letter, no appointment. I would also add that I have left two messages on an answering machine to which you are directed when requesting information about waiting lists and again no response. What does it take to get a DEXA Scan with Greater Glasgow Heath Board or even a meaningful update?
It is now over 21 months since my accident and I am still waiting.

On Friday I received a phone call to say that due to a cancellation there was a short notice appointment for a DEXA Scan at the QE Hospital Glasgow today(Monday).
I am delighted to say that I took up the appointment and received my DEXA scan conducted by two very efficient members of staff. It took only 15 minutes.
Fingers crossed that in 8 weeks time when I should receive my result it is positive news.
