"Lack of communication between services"

About: South West Acute Hospital / Antenatal Information South West Acute Hospital / Early Pregnancy Clinic

(as a service user),

I had a miscarriage and 2 weeks after it was confirmed I got a letter in post for my 12 week scan which I obviously didn't need as if that wasn't bad enough I got a phone call today from the antenatal clinic to say they had been waiting on me to attend my consultant appointment this afternoon and why had I not attended.

This is not good enough! As if a woman isn't going through enough heart ache without having a knife stuck in the wound.

jazzds37 firstly let me offer you my condolences on your loss and apologise for the apparent breakdown of communication. I would like to see how this has occurred and to see if there is anyway in which our services can be streamlined to prevent this happening for any woman, at such a sensitive time. When you are ready could you make contact with me so we can discuss.
