I attended for my Northern Ireland Diabetic Eye Screening Programme at the appointed time.
Front reception at the Arches Centre directed me to the appropriate area, where I was greeted by a pleasant and helpful volunteer called Gary. He invited me to take a seat.
The operative, called Paul, then emerged and brought me through and gently took me through the process, including applying eye-drops, shown to the waiting room for a few minutes, then brought back for the eye exam.
When complete, Paul asked me if I wanted to look at the photos with him, with some layman explanations, so we did that and I mentioned diabetes more generally, so he gave me what is is a very helpful advice card of "15 Healthcare Essentials' from Diabetes UK.
My experience was good in all aspects, so I thank all concerned, and would urge fellow citizens to take-up this most efficient screening service.
"My experience was good in all aspects"
