"A breath of fresh air"

About: East Midlands Ambulance Service NHS Trust / Emergency ambulance

(as other),

East Midands Ambulance Service are a breath of fresh air and the most understanding ambulance service I have had contact with unlike a service from another area that is.

There was a time when two staff from EMAS sat and spoke to me about what was happening when in a crisis with my condition and they were both absolutely lovely to be sat with. They made me feel so at ease and allowed me to talk without me being interrupted unlike the ambulance service from the north east of England who never listen to anything you have to tell them.

The EMAS obviously understand when a person is unwell and know that they are employed to assist you without any pressure on you to give them answers. To actually see friendly people in an ambulance service was nice for a change and not to be met with hostile people like in the north east of England was fantastic.

The EMAS deserve to be congratulated for the way they listened about the person who they were actually helping and that it made such a difference to get that kind of help and not people who demand answers from you when you are suffering with an illness.

Thank you so very much EMAS for the two staff who assisted to me and listened to everything that they were told. You certainly are very nice and friendly people. Well done to you both.

Dear Skulls

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback about the service you received from our crew. I am glad that you felt supported and I hope you are feeling better now.

If you are able to share details (eg time, date and location for our 999 ambulance response) with our Patient Experience Team, we'll be able to identify the ambulance crew that responded and pass on your thanks. You may contact us by visiting our website www.emas.nhs.uk or via our voicemail line 0333 012 4216 (where we aim to respond to details left within 3 days – please note this is not a “live line”).

Thank you again for your lovely message.
