"Attending gynaecology nurse led pessary clinic"

I had an appointment with pessary nurse Linda as my pessary had moved out of place and I was in discomfort and my bladder prolapse had come down again. She explained she had to remove the pessary and it would be painful as it had turned round.

She kept talking to relax me and explaining what she was doing. It was painful and she kept apologising to me. We both had a work out which we laughed about later. She put in a different type of pessary explaining that everybody is different and it could take a few tries to get the best fitting one.

She also explained in detail what to do with the associated condition I have and how I to treat it properly. She suggested many things for me to try and I found out more from her in one appointment than any consultant appointments I have had and at no time did I feel embarrassed speaking to her.
