"Lungs versus Covid 19"

About: Crosshouse Hospital / Respiratory medicine General practices in Ayrshire & Arran

(as a service user),

The wonderful doctor who attended me at home after my collapse and saved my life is Doctor Robertson from Loudoun Medical Centre in Darvel, East Ayrshire.

Within the hospital treatment at Crosshouse, I was under the Care of Consultant Doctor Allan amongst others, many junior doctors and nurses. Consultant Doctor McVay (my Respiratory Consultant) also visited me in the hospital (which was very much appreciated by me) and she also influenced my recovery by prescribing medication which halted the reproduction of the COVID-19 virus and aided my recovery.

On my discharge from the hospital, I wrote to each of the caring departments to say a massive thank you. Not forgetting the Catering Manager whom I complimented on his provision of a varied menu, and well-cooked food which was, palatable, tasty, and wholesome (I enjoyed every meal).

Thank you all.

Dear Lungs versas Covid 19

Thank you for taking the time and trouble to share your healthcare experience with us via Care Opinion.

I am sorry to hear that you have had to spend time in hospital following a collapse at home. This must have been a very frightening time for you.

I am however, delighted to hear that you received such prompt, professional and compassionate care from all of our staff. This is a lovely example of our different Teams working together to provide the patient centred care that we strive to deliver.

Our staff really appreciate receiving feedback from their patients and it will be my pleasure to share your kind comments with the wider Teams who would have taken care of you, including your Dr Robertson, Dr Allen and Dr McVey and their ward staff and the Catering Department.

Please accept my best wishes for your ongoing recovery and thank you once again for taking the time to acknowledge your care experience.

Kind regards

Pamela
