"Very helpful and kind"

About: St Andrews Community Hospital / Minor Injuries Unit

(as a relative),

My Mum took unwell on holiday at St Andrews.  It was a sunday.  We went to the pharmacy at the Community Hospital but it was closed.  However a nurse saw us and said we could go to the Minor Injuries Clinic which was open, even although my Mum did not have an injury.

The nurse was called Julie and she was so kind and caring and good with my Mum, who is in her 80s and also has dementia. Julie was able to dispense medication to my Mum straight away.

The receptionist Heidi was also very helpful and kind.

Due to my Mum getting this immediate medical attention, she is recovering well.  We were able to go to our own doctor when we returned home.  But it was thanks to Julie that my Mum was seen to that day and was given the care and attention she required.

I would like to thank Julie, Heidi and St Andrews Community hospital.
