"My mother's admission to a Loane house"

My mother was transferred to South Tyrone Hospital Loane House mid February 2024. Previously she had been in 1 East which was not a very good experience.  The minute we walked into Loane House we were greeted by the staff, our mother was made very comfortable and immediately we felt this is were she will be cared for by friendly Anderson professional staff.  We learnt that the unit was Nurse Lead and were involved with all the decisions that were made. From the domestic, care assistants, staff nurses, deputy ward manager and managers, OT, Physio and Social Worker they meet with us daily and explained everything to us.

Mum was made very comfortable and received a very high standard of care from all the professionals.  I have to mention in particular Staff Nurse Louise she was excellent, she kept us informed and ensured our mum received the best. I would say to anyone whose relative needs Loane House, it is a excellent ward, run by a very profession team where nothing is missed and the patients do come first.
