Having had my annual Retinopathy examination at the Arches Health & Well-being Centre quite recently, I contacted the Podiatry Department to request a check-up appointment.
They sent me an appointment for this afternoon, and I attended as scheduled.
I arrived in good-time and was directed to the clean and uncluttered waiting area, where I took a seat and was greeted by name after a short wait.
The clinician, Eva, asked me to remove shoes and rest on the couch, where she asked about any particular problems, and I said I just felt it was sensible to get the appointment and be checked-over.
The room was clean and tidy.
Eva made good use of time examining and tidying-up nail, especially both big toes, and listened to what I was saying and answering my queries.
I felt comfortable and that Eva carried-out the checks I expected with care and expertise, and explained things very well.
I felt reassured that, while things were OK, I should not hesitate to contact the Podiatry Dept if I have any concerns or problems with my feet, and would be fine doing so.I would not hesitate to recommend this vital service to fellow members of the public. Thank you to Eva and all concerned.
"Good care and explanation"
