"CRB Asylum Legends 2024"

About: Rampton Hospital

(as a staff member posting for a patient/service user),

To everyone involved at CRB

I just wish to say a huge 'thank you' for everything you have done for me over the years! All the sessions, all the help and constant support, and all the care means a lot to me! CRB is not just a building to facilitate sessions, I think of CRB as a support network where everyone is ALWAYS welcome! It has had a massively good effect on my personal recovery and CRB is involved in literally every single day in whatever we, as patients, do to keep busy!

It is blatantly obvious that some people under appreciate the efforts of CRB! It is not just a place to take staff and an extra place to steal staff to help run wards! CRB is meant o be a place separate to wards to be used in patients recovery! I know that for a fact if CRB did not exist, then I personally would not have progressed to where I am today!

So 'Thank You' and keep up the good work! You help a lot more than you probably know!

ALL THE BEST!

(ps is the gym on tonight)

HI There,

Thank you for taking your time to share your appreciation of our colleagues in the CRB. We do very much appreciate them and recognise they support and facilitate therapy and activities off the ward and this is essential to your recovery.

We also recognise that at times the hospital has a shortage of ward staff we have to redeploy CRB and other TES staff to support patients on the wards. This is not what we want and we are working hard to reduce this as much as possible ensuring all areas function safety. I hope you have seen some improvements over the months with over 100 new colleagues that have joined us. However we know we have still have worked to do to make sure all areas have enough people so activities such as football are not cancelled.

We will keep working hard so you have safe staffing on the wards as well as enough staff to support you off the wards.

Thank you for sharing, its good to hear your voice and I hope football is on tonight and you enjoy your game.

First of all, thank you so much for such a positive and glowing recommendation for the CRB Team and the service offered.

I think that it great that you view the CRB and team as an important support network, and I am delighted to hear just how much of a positive impact this has had on your personal recovery.

Colleagues in the CRB take great pride in the programme that they deliver and work very hard to engage all patient's in off ward locations such as the CRB, Horticulture, the Gym and various main hospital departments also. It is also worthy to note that the team do important in reach work onto wards, to deliver activity and therapy to harder to reach patients etc.

As you well know, we have been through some difficult times in recent years, especially with redeployment to wards and so forth, which has had a negative impact on TES programmes throughout the hospital. On a positive note, Senior Management recognise the importance of activity to our patients and real efforts are underway to minimise disruption due to redeployment, including a big drive on the recruitment and retention of staff to keep the hospital staffed up to safe levels.

Thank You again for sharing you views and I hope that you continue to enjoy your Gym sessions!

John Muldoon.
