"Feeling extremely let down and frustrated"

About: Innistaigh / Wigtownshire Community Mental Health Team

(as a carer),

Feeling extremely let down and frustrated with the Mental Health Team in Stranraer.

Trying to get help and advice for a loved in their 70s who has vascular dementia and is deteriorating rapidly, should be simple but seems to be impossible.

A face to face assessment should be easy to arrange you would think, but no. 

Waited 10 days since last phone call before making contact again and still no further forward.

I am angry, frustrated & upset all emotions I should not be wasting my time & energy on.

The final straw was when I was advised if I wasn't happy to put a message on Care Opinion or speak to the person in charge!

I find neither of those options acceptable.

I know that it can be difficult, but my colleagues in Mental Health are keen to discuss this further with you so that they can help you.
