I don’t know what is it with adults or kids A&E at this hospital. In my experience, every other department is fine.
While attending A&E with my relative who has autism it was noted yet again how rude some staff are. When triaging a patient is it standard to cut them off when giving a very relevant medical history? Especially when said patient is autistic and it’s a big thing for them to speak to you. Then to say due to a patient's age it’s not cardiac. No ECG done at this point or bloods.
A nurse is not a Dr and I don't think a staff nurse has any business diagnosing patients. I am shocked at how the staff behave here. The wait is what it is, they need more staff, but their attitude was awful. God help you if you’ve no advocate and are unable to advocate for yourself.
