Hello. Having been bitten by a dog recently I made a call to 111 where I was advised to obtain medical assistance.
I went to Stoke Mandeville hospital in the evening and was greeted by a lovely receptionist and then saw a nurse (I believe this was Cathy) for assessment.
I only waited a few minutes before seeing Nurse Jo who set to business on cleaning my wound, offering me a Tetanus jab and starting me off on a preventative course of antibiotics. She arranged for me to collect the rest of the course from a local pharmacist the following morning.
Although at the end of her shift Jo was fantastic and explained all about the necessity of following up dog bites thoroughly. I am very grateful for her assistance and expertise. There was no hint of a rush (even though I was her last patient that evening) for which I am most obliged.
My would is healing well and I want express my sincere thanks for the top work and ace team all round.
