"Transformed my total outlook on life!"

About: Adult Health & Support Services / Occupational Therapy

(as a service user),

I was referred to Fiona by my GP and when I first met her I thought to myself that she was so young and how was she going to be able to help me?

However, I very quickly felt at ease and able to talk safely and freely with her. I was able to connect with her and she has changed my thinking on a lot of things. Fiona made me feel that there was no rush to anything and I could just take my time, which was brilliant. I have been previous places before, but Fiona has by far been the best. I do have good friends and family, but felt Fiona was someone I could really talk to and she listened to me.

I am now back at work and my blinds are no longer staying closed all day. As the weeks progressed I was given wee worksheets to complete and this gave me something to focus on.

She really offered a lot! I feel she did her job well and went above and beyond what I was expecting. She also spoke to me in ways I could understand and didn't use big words and a lot of it made common sense.

Every day I get better and better, but knowing that Fiona is there if I need her again in the future is great. I looked forward to my sessions and now I am able to focus on me again. I cant thank her enough for what she has done to help me.
