About: Children and Young People Services / School Nursing - P1 Assessments

(as a parent/guardian),

Nurse Brenda assessed my daughter for her P1 assessment.

She dealt with my daughter in a way that made it fun for her & in a way she understood.

She was lovely & reassured me my daughter is fit & healthy.

Dear UnaD

The school nurses are very skilled at helping children feel at ease to allow them to complete the necessary assessments, I am so pleased that your daughter had such a positive experience with Brenda one of our great school nurses for her P1 Health Appraisal. These appointments are an ideal way to help children understand what appointments with health professional can be like and will hopefully reassure her about for any future appointments she may need to attend.

Thank you for sharing the positive and fun experience your daughter had with our School Nurse, it is good that early health appointments are positive for children as this will hopefully support any health appointments in the future. Our School Nurses are skilled in working with children therefore it is lovely to hear this from you. Thank you for sharing your daughter's experience.
