"Made sure I was treated well"

About: Royal Alexandra Hospital / Endoscopy

(as the patient),

My GP told me i needed an Upper Endoscopy and referred me to the RAH in Paisley. I expected a lengthy wait as i know how busy the service is. Within three weeks i had my scope done.

On the day of the scope the Endoscopy Unit was very busy and my appointment was 9.30 but i was not taken until nearly 11.10. When the staff came to get me to take me for the scope I  had been waiting patiently all morning but I said to the staff i didn't mind as i was in no hurry and i was just thankful for the appointment.

The doctor doing my scope was lovely and made sure i had enough sedation not to feel anything. After the scope i was given something to eat and drink before i was allowed to leave. All of the staff in the unit were lovely and made sure i was treated well.
