"Such kindness when having a PICC line fitted"

I’m about to start on a cancer journey and I needed a picc line fitted. My appointment was 11am on the medical day ward. I suffer terrible with white coat syndrome and tbh anything hospital related, severe anxiety.

I was very shaky on being called into the room for the procedure and the lady whose name was Soya straight away shown me so much understanding and support. I was made to feel like I was first and foremost and tbh cared for 100%.

I got a big hug as well and she didn’t rush me and my husband was allowed to stay for the procedure to help keep me calm. The whole team was amazing with me. I wish I could remember their names, they were so kind and considerate.
