"The fact we can do a walk in service is very helpful"

About: East Kilbride Locality Support Service / Treatment Room (East Kilbride)

(as a service user),

This is the second time Karen has taken our bloods and we can't thank her enough for her kindness and patience.  My daughter is type 1 diabetes but still has a fear of needles when getting her blood taken and Karen makes it as easy as possible for her.  Karen is very efficient and quick getting the bloods taken, chatting to my daughter the whole time.  Also the fact we can do a walk in service is very helpful and takes stress out of trying to book an appointment through our GP Practice.

Dear Sun99

Thankyou for taking the time to provide feedback for our treatment room here in East Kilbride. I am sorry to hear that your daughter has a fear of needles and no doubt this is a very anxious experience for her. I am so pleased to hear that Karen has made this experience easier for her and I know Karen will appreciate your kind words, which I will share with her

We are so proud of our bloods and go service and the staff work so hard to ensure that patients are not kept waiting. I really appreciate your comments about the bloods and go service and will feed this back to all the team.

I hope your daughter is keeping well and continues to feel a bit less anxious when attending for our bloods.

Take care

Ann
