"I will always be grateful for the support you have provided me."

About: Queen Margaret Hospital / Breast care service Queen Margaret Hospital / Clinical Oncology

(as the patient),

I have been going through treatment for breast cancer for around 11 months. The breast care nurses have been a massive support to me ! I have struggled immensely with being diagnosed in my early thirties.

I also have severe mental health and I am probably the worst person on the planet to have this diagnosis as my brain is not kind to me! The nurses have went above and beyond to support me and always offer me support both face to face and over the phone.

Sharon has been my absolute rock , talking me down when I need reassurance , even checking in on me after I had become unwell during chemo with a virus just to see how I was.

Lucy also supported me after an oncology appointment and broke all of the information down for me.

I will always be grateful for the support you have provided me.

Thank you so much for your positive feedback. It means a lot to hear that you felt well supported during your 11 months of treatment. We recognise that sometimes patients can feel very alone once treatment has ended. We want to let you know that we are always here for you and will continue to support you in any way that we can.

We wish you all the very best going forward 😊
