I had a recent stay at Glasgow Royal Infirmary for an operation for a large liposarcoma with a lengthy post operative stay in HDU (ward 65).
I am very grateful for the care that I received, it was a very challenging time for both myself and my family and we are all very grateful for the support that we received from the entire team.
I would like to give special thanks to Mr Chong & Ms Quinn who were part of my surgical team and for their expertise in what I believe was a very challenging and lengthy procedure.
I would also like to thank Jane, clinical nurse specialist, for her valuable support for myself and my family. The staff in HDU were all exceptional in their care and support despite several setbacks.
I am pleased to say that I am progressing well at home and am getting stronger each week. The staff are all a credit to the NHS and they definitely made me feel that I was in safe and capable hands.
