I attended the Community Care and Treatment (CCAT) services North Locality - Blairgowrie Community Hospital, two separate occasions for routine and urgent bloods.
I was incredibly anxious both times due to my past medical history which meant that getting blood from me is always a challenge.
I was welcomed into the department both times by Lesley a healthcare support worker who was incredibly kind, friendly and professional. I was very nervous and Lesley put me at ease straight away. Lesley came across very knowledgeable, confident and experienced, she listened to my thoughts/worries and we discussed together the best course of action, providing very good patient centred care. Lesley managed to get my bloods with ease and I believe this is down to her experience and knowledge.
The department looks clean, bright and welcoming. The chair I sat in for getting bloods taken was very comfortable with arm rests too which added to comfort.
Thank you again to the fantastic care at CCATs, I feel so much better about having to return for future appointments.
"Knowledgeable, professional staff!"
