"A big thank you to the Coniston team"

About: Arnold Lodge Regional Secure Unit

(as the patient),

Firstly my mum lost her phone and was unable to come and see me as she needed her phone for the train/train times. This was at a weekend.

I then spoke to Coniston ward manager and a band 6 and I said next weekend there is railway work on the line that my mum would use so they had a chat and agreed I would be allowed a visit on the Wednesday so I could see her, otherwise I would of had to wait two weeks to see her.

I really appreciated this as seeing my mum is a big thing, seeing my mum as my dad has passed away, so I would like to thank the team on Coniston for doing this for me.

Seeing my mum is one thing that keeps me going and helps me get through the days, just knowing she is there. The team didn't have to let me have that visit in the week as visiting hours are different in the week, so I would like to say a big thank you to Coniston ward manager and the band six involved in the decision making about the visit.

Thank you for taking the time to write and share your appreciation to the Coniston nursing team.

Its great to hear you have been able to have the visit with your mum and the happiness it has brought to you. We understand the importance of the role that family, carers and friends play in our patients recovery and we always promote this inclusive approach.

I will ensure this feedback is passed on to the whole Coniston nursing team.
