I found out I was pregnant in September 2023 and was assigned to Team Violet for my pregnancy care. Our midwife, Claire, was amazing throughout our care, as an anxious person she helped alleviate any concerns or questions I had throughout our pregnancy.
As our baby was breech, and wasn't willing to turn after an ECV, we had a planned C-Section at Aberdeen Maternity Hospital. The care we received and advice through the procedure was amazing, we were well supported and talked through every step. All of the staff at Aberdeen Maternity Hospital were so friendly and supportive throughout our stay there and whilst I was in for check ups.
I attended Inverurie Hospital for a few check ups when I had reduced foetal movements, the staff were brilliant there, they gave us a tour round the hospital when we visited there. If our baby hadn't been breech, I would have liked to have given birth at Inverurie.
I also visited Peterhead Hospital for a relaxation class, the facilities were really nice, however it was in the wrong direction for us to consider giving birth there.
