"I have had such a positive experience"

About: Maternity care (wards 68, 72 &73) / Labour suite The Princess Royal Maternity Unit / Community Midwifery The Princess Royal Maternity Unit / Maternity care (wards 68, 72 &73)

(as the patient),

I have had such a positive experience during my pregnancy. Midwife Mhari based within Bailieston Health Centre was always happy to answer any questions and reassure me throughout my pregnancy.

My baby was born at the Princess Royal Maternity Hospital. I was first seen at triage, where staff all made me feel very comfortable, listened to my preferences and answered any of my questions.

I was then moved up to ward, where again staff were all very friendly, listened to me, answered any questions and offered me support when needed.

I was then moved to labour suite where I was offered a water birth, which is what I wanted. Midwife informed me of procedure of water birth and explained I can go in and out as I please.

The whole experience of a water birth was amazing, the room was very relaxing and I would highly recommend it to anyone who is considering it.

The midwives that I had (Georgia, Laura, Leah & Lynn) were all amazing and really contributed to my positive birth experience. They all explained everything to me in detail, helped me feel calm and got to know me and my partner buildings positive relationship. I can’t thank them enough!
