"Anaesthetist team went above and beyond!"

(as a service user),

I am a bit delayed writing this. However I would like to pass on my sincere thanks to anesthetiser s - Julianna, and Neils based at Princess Royal Maternity Hospital.

Julianna made time for me during my pregnancy on two occasions to speak and talk me through my planned Caesarean birth. She realised how anxious I was and was extremely patient and understanding.
On morning of my planned caesarean, Neils, met with me on the ward. He had read my plan and was very kind and empathetic. His calmness and kind nature was so much appreciated and he really went above and beyond in theatre - making me feel that I wasn’t a burden and calming me down. His colleagues in theatre were also excellent.
I had a follow up appointment at PRM with my baby this week and Julianna made a point to come and see me and meet my baby. I am very grateful for her genuine care and interest.
Please pass on my gratitude and thanks to both consultants and the team who were in theatre for my surgery.
They made a huge difference to my overall birth experience after trauma in my first pregnancy.

Dear Aprilmum,

Congratulations on the birth of your baby. It is really lovely to hear that both Juliana and Neils were so supportive and made such a difference to your experience, along with the wider theatre team. I will share this with them and thanks again for taking the time to give us your feedback.

Best wishes,

Tracy Orr
