"I left the appointment feeling reassured"

I had a pre booked appointment with my Gp Dr McIntosh, Bellyeoman Surgery, Dunfermline, to review some health concerns. 

He was understanding, listened to my concerns, he gave his medical opinion and we agreed a treatment plan together based on this advice as my ultimate aim is to remain in work longer. 

I couldn't ask for a better outcome from that consultation. He is a true professional and a gentleman and I left the appointment feeling reassured. 

I would also like to add that I don't attend the practice regularly but during the first part of the Covid pandemic I was seen by 2 of the Gp's when I became unwell with suspected covid. The receptionists clearly could understand and hear I was in difficulty and made sure that I was allocated a telephone call back.

The Gp's saw me in surgery putting themselves at risk of being exposed to the virus, with no thought for themselves. They made sure of my recovery and that I was able to return to work. I am grateful for their attention, support and wish I had thought of thanking them before now. 

I believe as a patient that I am very lucky to have health professionals that care about the health of their patients in these difficult times when the NHS is trying to get back to some kind of normality.
