"Very quickly put at ease by the professionalism shown"

About: Aberdeen Royal Infirmary / Cancer Services (Medical Oncology)

(as a service user),

I have just completed 4 cycles of chemotherapy under the care of Dr McMenamin and the staff of Ward 310 ARI.

I was initially anxious but very quickly put at ease by the professionalism shown by the entire team.

Dr McMenamin explained my treatment plan clearly and outlined exactly what to expect in an empathetic, straightforward manner.

Staff within the unit were very approachable and demonstrated high skill levels.

The Anchor volunteers were always cheerie and bright.

Dear Ellie58

Thank you so very much for taking the time to leave such lovely, positive feedback relating to your experience within the Anchor Unit at ARI.

It can be a very daunting coming into the unit and I'm so glad you were more at ease after meeting the clinical team.

I will share your kind words with Dr McMenemin, our nursing colleagues and of course the Friends of Anchor volunteers, who as you describe so aptly, give a warm, friendly greeting to all who arrive to 307/308/310.

I hope you are keeping well following your treatment and continue to do so.
