"Their only priority was me"

About: Forth Valley Royal Hospital / Xrays & Scans General practices in Forth Valley

(as the patient),

I have been experiencing relentless pain in left back / lung. Spoke with receptionist & immediately was given a GP appointment within the hour.  Saw GP, who suggested fractured or wedged ribs due to coughing with the virus lurgy which is circulating in the community.  GP stated X-ray department don’t carry out that procedure however would ask me to attend for X-ray.

In X-ray, receptionist processed me very easily & friendly.  Radiographer Andrew  initially looked after me until I was introduced to Radiographer Emily. After a discussion re. ribs, Emily asked me to return to changing area as she would like to discuss with her consultant.  On my return to the X-ray room, the X-ray was updated to a chest X-ray as I may be experiencing a pneumothorax.

I appreciate every NHS person I have been in contact with (as I am aware yesterday was an NHS holiday so would be every busier than usual) their only priority was me (& I am sure all other patients they come into contact with. Thank you all so much.
