"Top Notch Medical Attention"

About: Scottish Ambulance Service / Emergency Ambulance University Hospital Ayr / Accident & Emergency

(as the patient),

I fell in the street and was concussed. The ambulance crew were the best and got me to Ayr Hospital.

The initial attention to my injury was excellent, I remember nurse called Roisin, Katy, Vicky and others.  Also Dr Michael and later on Dr Reed took all the necessary information and asked questions.

I was later admitted as a patient for 3 days and all members of day staff and night staff did their duties with compassion and genuine concern over my health including the porters and all others. From memory I wish to thank the nurses Beth, Colin, Donna, Ahley, Chloe and the many others.

Then to be released 3 days later and to have daily attendance by staff at my home. Nichola, Clare, Sahron, Carol, Ayleigh who carried out their daily tasks with professionalism and ensuring of my wellbeing.

Top notch service  from start to being discharged

also a thank You to the consultants who visited me in hospital

Dear WFS TROON,

I'm sorry to hear about your recent fall, it sounds like a bad one with the concussion and I hope you are doing better now.

Thanks for sharing these lovely comments about our staff and passing on your thanks - it's great that you thought they were the best.

If you'd like us to find the crew involved and send these comments directly to them, if you could send a quick email to sas.feedback@nhs.scot with your name, address, date and time of incident, we'll be able to match them within the system.

Thank again for taking the time to post these comments, it's very much appreciated.

Kind regards,

Mark

Dear WFS TROON

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience of the care provided within University Hospital Ayr.

I am sorry to hear that you had a bad fall, which caused a concussion and resulted in an admission to hospital. It is however reassuring to know that you received such prompt, professional and compassionate care from all of our staff whilst you were under our care. This is a lovely example of the patient centred care that we strive to provide.

Our staff really appreciate receiving feedback and it will be my pleasure to ensure your lovely comments are shared with the wider Teams who would have taken care of you and in particular with the staff you have mentioned by name. I know they will be delighted to receive this feedback and it will be really encouraging for them to know that you felt so well supported by them whilst you were under their care.

Please accept my best wishes for your ongoing recovery, thank you once again for taking the time to acknowledge your care experience.

Kind Regards

Pamela
