I'm still waiting to be told about results of a 24 hour urine test (for my daughter) handed in in the middle of May. I have been in touch with the paediatric secretaries who have always been extremely helpful. I'm aware that the results have been reported and have asked that someone contact me asap - even by phone - to let me know what the results show (if anything).
This is such a stressful time. This test is one of a few that have been completed recently. I have had to chase the results of every test taken. It's clear that the Dr's are under extreme pressure and don't have sufficient time to get in touch with parents when results are reported.
Meanwhile, my daughter is still suffering, with no diagnosis and probably at the bottom of a huge pile of other mums and dads emails and complaints. She is missing school, feeling down and can't really see a solution in sight.
It's not fair on the consultants that they are under such pressure that they don't even have the time to make a call about results.
