"Very understanding staff"

About: University Hospital Wishaw / Day Surgery University Hospital Wishaw / Endoscopy

(as a service user),

I recently came in for a colonoscopy. The staff there all made me feel so much at ease, the scope took hardly any time and I only had 2 puffs of gas and air during it with no sedation.

I cannot thank the staff enough for what was previously (at another hospital) a traumatic experience for me (I have autism). They explained everything that was going on and kept me at ease and I ended up chatting to staff all the way through the procedure.

Thank you so much. Can I give a special thanks to nurse endoscopist Roslyn and nurse Laura. They were very understanding of my sensory issues and made everything go swimmingly.  Many thanks.

Dear CuckooMum,

Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback for the staff within Day Surgery at University Hospital Wishaw.

It is lovely to read that you felt at ease and that the staff took the time to understand your sensory issues before your procedure.

I hope you are recovering well at home and I will be sure to pass this onto the endoscopy staff.

Best Wishes

Jen
