"Care after my Accident"

About: Crawley Hospital / Cardiology Crawley Hospital / Neurology Crawley Hospital / Respiratory medicine East Surrey Hospital / Accident and emergency

(as the patient),

Eight weeks ago I fell and was brought into A & E at around midday on a busy Saturday.

On the day, from the ambulance team that picked me up to all of the departments I have come into contact with since, I could not have been treated any better. A&E were very busy but the treatment I received was caring and efficient.

I badly fractured my arm, hence I came in to contact with The Fracture clinic. Again over a period of six weeks they were efficient and put into place a series of related tests. IE: dexa scans, osteoporosis consultation, physiotherapy. They reported to my GP who in turn arranged for me to consult with another doctor who is looking into the reasons for my fall. Now I have had a consultation and this has resulted in a chest x-ray, a brain scan. I also have an echocardiogram arranged in the next two weeks.

A total of ten different departments all taking care of me. Amazing treatment in just eight weeks. Thank you East Surrey and Crawley hospitals. You deserve some praise for the way in which you have treated me.

Dear Wobblylegs

It was great to read your comments and hear that you received such good care from staff in so many different departments.

I hope the physio is helping with your recovery.

kind regards
