Appointment with surgeon Dr Ragupathy who was very friendly and gave me all the information about my surgery and possible outcome.
The following week I had my surgery and was kept in Ward 36 overnight.
The staff nurses were run off their feet while looking after everyone as well as they could.
There are a lot of tricky patients in that ward and they seem to require a lot of the staff time.
The nurses, on the whole are caring, but you can see that their work is not easy.
I didn't spend much time in the bathroom and shower area, but felt that they could do with a really good clean. Underneath the toilet roll dispenser was not nice, you could see where people had tried to get the paper out with body fluids etc on their hands.
I had a successful surgery and was able to go home the day after my operation.
I have recovered really well and cannot thank the surgeon enough for the brilliant job she did for me.
