"The kindness of all the staff overwhelmed me"

About: Cloughreagh House

(as a staff member posting for a patient/service user),

I came to Cloughreagh to regain my strength after surgery. I  have lived a full life with no mobility issues and was shocked with the effect the surgery had on me.  It seemed to me some of the time when I was in hospital that the focus was on my mobility and not the surgery. That said I can appreciate the interconnections of all things.

When I came to Cloughreagh I felt I had arrived in Heaven. The kindness of all the staff overwhelmed me and I was made feel so welcome.

This is a most valuable service to the wider community especially for those elderly and frail and living alone.  I hope it never closes because what on earth would replace it.

Personal care given respectfully and friendly interaction restores the human spirit giving meaning and hope to those in need of care; this is the care  Cloughreagh offers.

Thank you to all members of Staff in Cloughreagh  for their warm and caring responses to the needs that arose for me. There is a wonderful spirit of professional and generous service here , modelling team and collaborative practice.

Thank You Cloughreagh.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience of Cloughreagh on Care Opinion and I am delighted that you had such a good experience here. The staff here work hard to provide a person- centred approach to the care of our Service Users and I am glad you found them friendly and respectful to you,

It is always difficult entering a new environment and it is important that you are made feel welcome and a friendly face will always help to settle in.

I hope that you are continuing to recover now that you have returned home and I know this record of your experience here will be encouraging for other potential service users and families to read.

I will share your positive feedback with the Cloughreagh team and on behalf of the team I would like to wish you continued good health.

Kind Regards

Stephanie Campbell
