Our Mammy was admitted to ward 57 Queen Elizabeth Hospital Glasgow. Mum became extremely ill and passed away 4 months later having been shown care, compassion kindness and was looked after by all the staff as if she was there own Granny, From the charge nurse to every member of the ward staff who was involved in mums care, there are no words to say exactly how we feel.
The family when we were required to stay overnights with mum were treated the same with great compassion and kindness, everyone was amazing, initially we were very apprehensive about mum going into this unit however our fears were very quickly diminished when we met and got to know the ward staff. The ward is also spotless and very welcoming. If only the medics could get their act together the nurses job might be made that little bit easier.
