I had a telephone Consultation with Dr Miller, Neurology Consultant at QEUH Neurology Outpatients. I have been under the care of Dr Miller for around the last year or so as my previous Consultant left the Migraine Clinic for pastures new.
Dr Miller is kind, compassionate and an absolute credit to her profession. She listens to concerns and works with the patient to come up with a solution that the patient is happy with.
When I spoke to her I informed her that at this point due to external issues I’d be unwilling at this point to make any major changes to medication. She took that on board and validated my concerns by agreeing that this wasn’t the right time to be majorly altering medication.
She was aware that I had called the Migraine Clinic a couple of times this year to speak to the on-call Nurse. Instead of belittling me for reaching out like I was anxious about, Dr Miller encouraged me to keep reaching out if things get unmanageable, which was so lovely to experience from a Professional.
Having someone like Dr Miller that takes my condition seriously, actually listens to concerns and provides excellent professional input makes it so much easier to work with.
Thank you Dr Miller for your kindness, compassion & professionalism. You are a credit to your profession & an asset to the QEUH!
