"All the staff were genuine and caring"

About: Loane House / Ward 1

(as a service user),

After being in Craigavon Hospital with Pneumonia and Covid, I was told I was going to Ward 1 for rehabilitation. I was so disappointed as I knew Lurgan and wanted to go there. I had only been in Loane House once many years ago when my Uncle was sick and I didn't like it then.

When I came through the doors of Ward 1, I was welcomed and it felt good because everyone was so nice. The staff are lovely and couldn't do enough for you. The Physios and OTs were very good too. The domestics were excellent. The food had a great choice.

I couldn't say a bad word about anything or anyone. The companion told me about the hairdresser who was coming in weekly within an hour of my arrival. All the staff were genuine and caring. I'm now back on my feet and leaving today, looking forward to getting home a much stronger lady.
