I was admitted for planned robotic surgery under the auspices of Mr Dimitropolous and Mr Douglas. Cared for in HDU and Ward 209. Supported by the Stoma Nurse Team and by UCAN Nurse Specialists.
Naturally I felt apprehensive beforehand but was given clear direction as to what to expect and lots of reassurance.
I was treated respectfully and with humour so I was put at ease and was confident I was in safe hands.
Throughout my stay I was nursed professionally. Ward staff, including Susan, Nikki, Nicola, Tania, Michelle and Chardonnay demonstrated excellent skills whilst maintaining a warm and considerate approach. They often faced difficult and challenging behaviour but dealt with these confidently and skilfully.
"Confident I was in safe hands"
