"Definitely helped me through radiotherapy"

About: Oncology / Physical Activity Classes

(as a service user),

I was a cancer patient in the City Hospital from Nov 23 and was contacted by Friends of the Cancer Centre and subsequently offered a course of physical exercises by Joe.

Mostly these were taken at the McMillan Centre though a few were online. I enjoyed the face to face ones better because it was good to meet other people in the same position as myself.

Joe was very helpful to me and took a personal interest in me, checking in with me when I was too unwell to attend class and showing me respect and encouragement.

Through him my stamina improved and his classes definitely helped me through radiotherapy.

Hi handsetbk43

Thank you so much for taking the time to voice your thoughts on the service provided by our physical activity coach. It was lovely to hear that you enjoyed Joe’s face to face classes especially and that meeting other people in a similar position was helpful. I’m glad your stamina improved and that you managed to get through your radiotherapy. I will make sure to let Joe know about your great feedback. Please continue to keep active to help your physical and mental health.

Kind Regards
