"The staff were incredible"

About: Royal Victoria Hospital / Day Procedure Unit

(as the patient),

At the RVH, Belfast. Had a day procedure for a colonoscopy and OGD. I was initially quite anxious about the OGD since I have a serious gag reflex. However, the nurses and doctor put my mind at ease.

The procedures were fine, at worst a little uncomfortable.

The staff were incredible - Kyle, nurses Kristine, BJ, Ruth, Elaine and Darling, who held my hand throughout the procedure.

I have been given the initial results which are reassuring and await the results of the polyp biopsy.

My experience of the NHS in Belfast continues to be excellent.

May God continue to bless the NHS and its staff.

Good afternoon,

Thanks so much for taking the time to get in touch and leave us feedback about your recent visit to RVH Endo. I am glad you had a positive experience.

Coming to hospital can be a daunting time, never mind the endoscopy procedures themselves so I am glad our team was able to support you through your experience with us. We try to treat every patient as an individual and we don't like to see anyone upset or nervous so it is good to hear when our efforts make all the difference. I will pass on your thanks to the team, especially those mentioned in your post.

Once again, thanks for getting in touch. May I wish you all the best in the future.

Heather
