"I feel more fit at the end of it"

About: Physiotherapy Services / Physiotherapy Pulmonary Rehabilitation

(as a service user),

I feel that the class was very beneficial to me. It helps to realise that although very limited, the exercise that you can do, helps enormously in how your body copes. I feel more fit at the end of it, can do more exercise with less oxygen. it is also a good way of getting out and meeting people. I must say though, I missed the cup of tea/coffee and biscuit that we used to get at the talk time. It was a good time to chat to the others.

Thank you for taking the time to share your story. I have forwarded your lovely feedback to Laura and Alison who supported you through your Pulmonary Rehabilitation. I am pleased to hear that you have really felt the benefit from the exercise and that has translated into your day-to-day function. Six weeks is the minimum time to have started to measure the benefit from exercise so if you manage to keep up your home exercises then you are likely to reap further gains. I agree some of the benefit from Pulmonary Rehabilitation is meeting others with similar symptoms and the support you give each other. I will feedback to my management team regarding your suggestion regarding the cup of tea and biscuit.

Keep up with your exercise routine

Many thanks
