My friend has been waiting on Endometriosis/Fibroid surgery, coming up to 6 years now. The deterioration in her physical and mental health is very difficult to watch. She has sent a number of emails chasing a surgery date, however, there still appears to be nothing in the pipeline. Going by the NHS Lothian waiting list, there is a current wait of 63 weeks for an appointment - she has been waiting over 300 weeks for this procedure. I understand covid has been a factor but I feel at this point there needs to be immediate action.
