"Staff very attentive and caring"

I was sent to ward 1 for rehabilitation, after a fall and breaking my hip. 

I was in Loane House for 4 weeks before leaving to go to a nursing home, which I was not looking forward too.

I was very well looked after, staff very attentive and caring.

Excellent food choices from the canteen and nicely presented. Staff always come when I call them.  There is a relaxing atmosphere on the ward, I will miss everyone very much.

They were all so kind and cheerful. A special thanks to Esther who always made me laugh. 

I also just wanted to say that the Dementia Companion (Mary) helped me a lot. She would stay with me when I was scared and missing my family. 

She was friendly and always knew what to say to make me feel better. 

She helped me with my meals, would have showered me and even painted my nails for me.

I am going to miss her. 

I'm in my 90s and had my first experience of reflexology leaving me feeling very good and ready to start my new adventure.
