"A little upset"

About: Urgent Community Response Mid Hants

(as a staff member posting for a patient/service user),

All of them were very nice and very good.

Everyone was charming.

A little upset about being asked personal questions for assessments by a male member of staff. More explanation needed before assessment and perhaps an opportunity to complete with a female member of staff would have been good.

Good Morning,

Thank you so much for letting us know how you felt when the team looked after you at home. I'm pleased that you found the staff pleasant and approachable.

I am sorry that you didn't feel comfortable with some of the more personal questions being asked by a team member of the opposite sex. I know our team would not have wanted you to feel uncomfortable.

Thank you for raising this as it helps us to highlight that we could look at our practice and ask before hand if there are more personal questions if they are happy to be asked by a staff member of the same sex. I will feed this back to the team.

I do hope that you are recovering well and thank you for your story regarding how you felt with our care

Best Wishes

Abby
